Elon Musk reacted to firing of Sam Altman from OpenAI

 

ChatGPT the most viral product of OpenAI is result of continuous effort and grit of Elon Musk and Sam Altman. Musk is one of the co-founder of OpenAI and have parted his way with organization in 2018. Initial motive of founding OpenAI was serving humanity and open potential benefits for future.



In an interview at dealbook summit, Elon Musk has hinted that OpenAI board member may has discovered something dangerous which laid the firing of CEO Sam Altman. However, Sam was hired back just day later after being fired.



OpenAI was founded with vision of non-profit organization, However, OpenAI declared in 2019 that it would be transitioning from its non-profit foundation to a for-profit business. It began looking for investors, someone who could use its state-of-the-art research to generate income.

They hit gold soon after. Microsoft announced plans to invest $1 billion over the course of five years in the summer of 2019. Since then, the investment has increased to $10 billion, thus making OpenAI a Microsoft project and making it a competitive advantage over Google. 



Musk has hinted that OpenAI must disclose the reason behind firing the Sam Altman and rehiring him. In a response to a tweet musk has twitted that “Given the risk and power of advanced AI, the public should be informed of why the board felt they had to take such drastic action.” Musk Also added  that ChatGPT has created danger for “extinction event”.

 

Its is notable that Elon musk has a fearless approach when it comes to express his thoughts openly How ever any clarification is yet to come from Sam Altman side.
